The First Presbyterian Church Wellsboro's Alternative Giving Christmas Fair will be in-person and online this year. Please use this form to give a gift that meets a genuine need this Christmas.
Paper forms and check payment will be available in person on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 10am - 2pm at the First Presbyterian Church. They will also be available on Sunday mornings and from the church office. 100% of the contributions will be distributed to the supported charities. Ministry Descriptions

Child Evangelism Fellowship of Tioga County


CEF is an evangelical, Bible-centered mission whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.

 
 

Diapers for Darlings


Diapers for Darlings is a ministry of The First Presbyterian Church Wellsboro and is twofold.  First the ministry seeks to embody the Gospel message by having meaningful conversation, building relationships, praying for, and supporting families as well as sharing the Gospel to those whose hearts are open to it.

Secondly, the ministry providers diapers, pullups, and wipes for newborns through the age of 5 in order to supplement a family’s monthly need. Families qualify for the program based on need.

Diapers for Darlings also has a clothing boutique of donated clothing, shoes, baby items, and occasionally toys for families to browse each month.

 
 

Harbor Counseling


Harbor Counseling is a non-profit agency that provides treatment and prevention programs for adolescents and adults with problems related to alcohol or other drug abuse. Harbor Counseling is staffed by professionals who are dedicated to providing quality treatment for drug & alcohol and mental health issues.


It is a place where it’s safe to ask the hard questions, where you can have fun, where you can find yourself, where you can learn how to face the things that bother you and then deal with them in ways that don’t harm yourself or the people you care about.

 
 

HAVEN of Tioga County


HAVEN of Tioga County offers services to those who are affected by domestic violence or sexual assault, regardless of ability, race, religion, creed, gender, ethnicity, color, national origin, marital status, age, class, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation or preference, culture, language, education, or HIV status.


All HAVEN services are FREE and confidential.

 
 

Heart of Tioga


Heart of Tioga is a local, non-profit Christ-centered organization which specializes in helping women deal with pregnancy-related issues. Heart of Tioga is here to help provide life-saving alternatives to abortion while helping expecting mothers deal with the stress and emotions that accompany pregnancy. Every service we provide is confidential and non-judgmental. Together, we bring the community and necessary resources to help struggling women.

Heart of Tioga offers such services as free pregnancy tests and free ultrasound. Heart of Tioga also provides women and men with compassionate, non-judgmental support, medically accurate information, a wide range of pregnancy and parenting classes, post abortion traumatic stress recovery, support and educational programs for men, and referrals for area services.


Participants of Heart of Tioga educational programs are able to receive material resources as well - such items as car seats, pack-n-plays, diapers, wipes, baby clothing, and baby supplies.

Humble Bumble Project


The mission of the Humble Bumble Project is to alleviate even the slightest amount of financial burden faced by pediatric and young adult cancer families so parents and caregivers can focus on family rather than finance. Medical Benevolence Foundation


Our goal is simple: To give hope and healing to the poor around the globe. We believe the best way to do that is to follow Christ’s mandate to “heal the sick and proclaim the gospel.”

For over 60 years, MBF has been an independent non-profit organization working in partnership with individuals and churches throughout the U.S. to equip mission partners in developing countries to proclaim the gospel through medical missions ministry.

 
 

Planted


Planted is a one-year program intentionally crafted for high school graduates, ages 18-24, who desire to be grounded and to grow in their knowledge of, trust in, and love for Jesus Christ. This unique gap year program, located on a camp in the mountains of northern PA, weaves together biblical training, hands-on farming, outdoor adventure, and life skill development. Each component of Planted’s program is a context for intentional discipleship and fostering deep relationships.

 
 

Seeds of Hope Partners


Seeds of Hope Partners is a volunteer organization created to assist families in crisis. Our goals are to provide basic needs to maintain families and aid in reunifying families. We do this by providing supplemental food, cleaning supplies and hygiene kits, clothing, beds and bedding, basic needs or health and safety items to families.


 
 

Tioga County Homeless Initiative


The Tioga County Homeless Initiative’s mission is to provide warm, safe and caring environment for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. When individuals come to us, they will experience a warm welcome, a clean bed, a comfortable environment, a warm and nutritious evening meal as well as a nourishing breakfast.

TCHI recently opened their newly built facility, which will be handicap accessible and economically efficient. With the new facility the staff will be able to assist more homeless individuals and families in the County. TCHI also assists people with jobs, housing, and other services they require such as; mental health, drug & alcohol, veterans services, children and youth service. All outside services are referred to the proper agencies. TCHI has helped and continues helping the homeless of Tioga County with a hand up, not a hand out.


 
 

Wellsboro Area Salvation Army


The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
